Last updated 2026-08-13. This policy explains what data FastenerChart collects, what our advertising partners collect, and what you can do about it.
The short version
What we collect directly
Nothing that identifies you. There is no account system, no contact form, no comment system and no email signup. The site is composed of static files.
If you email us at contact@fastenerchart.com, we obviously receive your email address and whatever you write. We use that only to reply, and we do not add it to any list or share it.
Cookies and advertising
This site displays advertising served by Google, and may in future use other advertising partners. Here is what that means in practice:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
- Third-party vendors and ad networks may also use cookies, web beacons or similar technologies to collect information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed and time of visit.
- We do not control these cookies and we do not have access to the data they collect. It is held by the advertising vendor under their own policies.

You can opt out of personalised advertising from many other vendors at aboutads.info or the Network Advertising Initiative.
You can block or delete cookies entirely in your browser settings. FastenerChart works perfectly well with all cookies blocked — none of the reference data depends on them.

Where required, you will be shown a consent notice before any personalised advertising cookies are set, and you can accept, reject or change your choices through that notice. Rejecting personalised advertising does not restrict access to any part of this site.
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data held about you, and to object to processing. Because we hold no personal data ourselves, such requests are usually best directed to the advertising vendor. We will help where we can — contact us.

Analytics
We may use privacy-preserving analytics that count page views without cookies and without profiling individual visitors. If we introduce analytics that behave differently, this page will be updated first.
Children
This site is a technical reference aimed at adults working in engineering and trades. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes
If this policy changes materially, the "last updated" date above changes with it. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of it.
